3D Scan

Overview: 

For my 3D Scan I wanted to scan something that I would be able to use in my final project. As I am building a Thrust Vector Controlled Rocket, I decided to 3D scan a rocket engine. 

Process:

I used Polycam to scan the rocket engine, I used the automated feature where it would take a picture, then I would move the camera, and it would take another picture. For this specific scan I used 110 images and I was not very happy about the result. The mesh was not a perfect cylinder although it is one in real life. 

Final Result:

In the end this rocket CAD was not that useful as the measurements were off and the mesh was not perfectly circular.
